Medical tourism is a new global niche market that is growing interest to a lot of people in both the medical industry and the tourism industry (Hunter, 2007) and also it can be defined as a form of tourism that involves medical interventions that are substantial and have long-term effects (Connell, 2006). Essentially, it has an attractive potential for people and governments to promote this industry. Therefore, the government attempts to support this industry by setting up infrastructure or facilities for the tourism market. The medical tourism is currently flourishing all over the globe and especially some Asian countries such as Singapore, Thailand, India, Korea, etc. are eager for emerging as a highly developed country in the sphere of medical tourism industry as well as promoting this market. Basically, the major reason to draw attention to develop medical tourism for those countries is that they want to enrich their nationwide image and attain economical benefits at the same time. Those countries have launched their medical tourism industry sufficiently well, and they are competing with each other to attract large number of foreigners to come to their country by providing various kinds of medical services with new facilities.
      Even though the medical tourism industry has grown dramatically because of the latest trend in the first decade of the twenty-first century has the middle class traveling from developing countries to those with rising economies to avoid waiting periods, get good quality care or basically saving costs for medical surgery (Gray & Poland, 2008), the phenomenon that people travel overseas for their health care has been formed earlier for the high society classes to seek therapies and spas for well-being. In 2003, approximately 350,000 people from developed countries visited the less developed countries for the purpose of receiving healthcare (KTO, 2008).
